CEM REPORT, APPOINTMENT | Senior High Chief Kennedy Izuagbe has joined the Board of Directors of Continental Economy Magazine Limited to become the Vice Chairman of the governing body of the company.
SHC Kennedy Izuagbe is an experienced management professional who has demonstrated capacity in the banking industry where he worked and grew to senior management level and having continued to record successes in managing his own businesses.
Dr Izuagbe worked in the banking industry for over 15 years starting with Fidelity Union Merchant Bank Limited as a young Corper. During his years in the banking industry, he held very responsible and sensitive positions at the different banks, including Fidelity Bank Plc, Savannah Bank Nigeria Plc where he rose to the position of Chief Inspector, and Societe Generale Bank Nig Ltd (Now Heritage Bank) where he handled different management portfolios that culminated in his elevation to the position of Divisional Head, Internal Controls.
Dr Izuagbe studied Management and obtained B.Sc. with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Port Harcourt and MBA from the University of Benin. He also has Masters in Finance from the University of Calabar, LLB Law from the National Open University of Nigeria and a PhD (honoris causa) in Business Administration and Management from the Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria (CFIAR) and a member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria (M. IoD). He is the CEO of Carlisle Property & Investment Limited and Chairman of many other high flying and very successful companies. He is the founder of Corporate Highflyer Journal; a publication that impacted great knowledge in the banking industry in the early 80’s.
Dr Izuagbe is a leading facility management services provider in the upper class of the Real Estate sector, a big-time player in the hospitality services sector, sales & marketing of petroleum product services, Cash Crop Farmer and an acclaimed publishing/printing services provider in the Nigerian economy and beyond.
He was named in the Top 50 CEOs in the Nigerian economy by the Vanguard Newspaper in December 2013. He was again listed by The Guardian Newspapers on May 29, 2014 as one of the Outstanding Professionals in Nigeria.
