CEM REPORT, EDUCATION | Parents, Students, Staff and all present enunciated their commendation for the Pan Atlantic University as the prestigious institution held its 9th matriculation on Saturday 21st of January 2023 at the Lagos Business School
Excellence was the dominating word in all the speeches and conversation from all that spoke with Continental Economy Magazine, elevating the institution into global limelight just like its counterpart institution; the Lagos Business School. This is evident from the incremental number of admission into the university annually within less than a decade of its existence, rising from a few pioneer students to today’s 537 students being the largest the university has admitted.
The standard of learning in Pan Atlantic University can best be described as all encompassing, impacting the required knowledge, character and confidence in their students and building them to impact the nation, continent and the world.
These were the words of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Enase Okonedo, FCA, as she admonished the Matriculants in a mentoring-toned language. She expatiated the global standard and multiple channels of learning at their disposal. She urged them to make themselves available for learning after congratulating them for crossing the high huddle of admission criteria.
She said; ‘’I will like to congratulate the students that are matriculating today having scaled the tall entry requirements to gain admission into the University
‘’…Learning in Pan Atlantic University is not limited to what you learn within the classroom. There are certain projects you will be called to involve in, certainly, there is internship you will be called at some point to participate in. For the different levels of learning, you will learn on your own, you will learn from your peers, you will learn from the faculty and you will learn from the community.
‘’But in order for you to Benefit from all these the Pan Atlantic University has to offer, you must be prepared to open yourselves to learning. The few months you have spent in the Pan Atlantic University, you have observed that learning here is different; here you are an active participant in the learning process
”I will also urge you that outside learning in the classroom, to also explore other learning opportunities within the campus. We have the largest contemporary Art Museum in Nigeria, in which you will learn a number of things. By getting involved in the students volunteering work with the under privileged children, you will learn to give back to the society.
‘’Our objective at the Pan Atlantic University is to develop leaders, and for leaders, one of their key trait is their ability to serve. And therefore, you will learn to serve if only you will deploy your skills, your attributes towards serving the less privileged in the community’’
Ijeoma Nwachukwu, The program coordinator for Department of Information Science and Media Studies, School of Media Communication described the institution as top notch. ‘’There is a level of excellence in all aspect of the university including the environment. Everything done here is of high standard, our facilitators are top notch. The university holds excellence in high regard.
‘’Graduates from our department come out as professionals. From 100 level, we start to expose them to what they need to know, by 200 level, they are already able to handle cameras and other equipment and are able to create their films. At 300 level, they are qualified to work in companies and make money.’’
Ijeoma advised Nigerians not to continue to spend dollars for their wards to study broad since they will get global best here at home, at Pan Atlantic University.
Upon searching for University, home and abroad for his son Adesegun Orofidiya, found Pan Atlantic University operating a standard just like other foreign universities.
‘’I know Pan Atlantic University has a commitment to quality education, I know their MBA program at Lagos Business School. I needed a school that will position my son to compete globally, having found out that the school has existed for close to ten years, I didn’t hesitate to enroll my son in the University following my prior knowledge of the standard at LBS.
‘’I expect my son to graduate with sound academic knowledge, good character and confidence to face and succeed in the global space. I expect my son to possess qualities that will make him a competent  leader at graduation and I trust PAU to impact those quality values in him and every other child passing through them.
Ogechi Nnaji, a matriculant, feels amazing being in such a prestigious university. Ogechi had been abroad before, but chose to study at the Pan Atlantic University instead of studying abroad where she will be treated as a second class citizen.
