CEM REPORT, SME | The Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, Hon. Wale Akinterinwa has commended the CEO of Phummy Finesse Beauty Saloon, Funmi Olaniyi for her contribution to the beauty industry in Lagos State.
The Commissioner made the commendation on Sunday as a guest at the opening of another branch of the Phummy Finesse Beauty Saloon at the Marshyhill Estate, Ajah.
Hon. Akinterinwa, in an interaction with CEM Television, spoke specifically on the impact such businesses such as that of Funmi is making on the SME sector and the labour market through employment creation.
“This is a very good example of SME which should be encouraged, that instead of waiting for white-collar jobs, people should endeavor to acquire skills that they can actually use to render services like this. From what am looking at here, there are over 10 to 12 staff working here. If we have a lot of people like that who set up businesses that can take 10 to 12 people out of the labour market, I think we are on the path to greatness”; Akinterinwa said.
The Ondo State Commissioner for Finance equally noted strongly on the importance of funding for businesses such as Phummy Finesse Beauty Saloon and called on relevant institutions to make funding available at cheap rate to encourage the sector.
He said, “There must be an avenue to get the right kind of funding to set up this kind of businesses. Even if you have all the skills, you still need funding. The private sector should look at finding way to ensure that the right kind of funding at the right price should be made available.”
Phummy Finesse is a unisex saloon that offers top-notch beauty and body care services which include haircut, hair treatment, make-up, pedicure and manicure. Other services include nails, lashes and quality hair sales.
Excellence was the common word in all the comments made by customers including Hon. Wale Akinterinwa who spoke to CEM Television. They all commended the expertise, professionalism and neatness of the staff as well as the conducive ambience of the saloon.
“The service I got is very good, I rate it an A-star. The Barber was very professional and is very neat in his own appearance; for me that is very important. He did a very good job”; Hon. Akinterinwa commended.

Funmi Olaniyi encouraged women to try and look good in the midst of other constraints. “Try to put in your best to look good because beauty is very important; take care of your hair and look sharp. For us, we are not really passionate about the money but we are passionate about out work we do to make you look good”; she said
She assured her customers of the best of beauty services and products at affordable prices
