CEM REPORT, FINANCE | Accrued arrears and gratuity of 2,730 pensioners of the Civil Service Pension Department have been paid by the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) totalling the sum of ₦846.14 million.
According to the acting Executive Secretary of the PTAD, Sulayman Shelleng, pensioners who got paid range from previously verified pensioners not on the payroll, those who did not receive their gratuity on retirement, and failed payments on the GIFMIS platform.
In a statement by PTAD’s Head, of Corporate Communications, Olugbenga Ajayi, the agency will continue the trend of payment of all arrears till all pensioners get paid while assuring DBS pensioners of the directorate’s continued strive to ensure that their welfare is given priority.
Shelleng further appealed to pensioners who are yet to receive their arrears to be calm as the directorate is working tirelessly to ensure that all outstanding arrears of pensions and gratuities are paid soon
