The engagement ceremony of Mr. Kennedy Jr Osilama Izuagbe and Miss Oshone Scholastica Okhakia was successfully held on Saturday, 17th January 2026 at Detutu Event Place, Ogudu GRA, Lagos.
The ceremony brought together members of both families, friends, well-wishers, and invited guests who gathered to witness and celebrate the formal union of the two families. The venue was beautifully decorated and set in a joyful atmosphere befitting the importance of the occasion.
Proceedings commenced with the formal arrival of the groom’s family, led by elders, according to custom. This was followed by the traditional introduction, during which both families formally presented themselves and declared the purpose of the gathering. Prayers were offered, and the families exchanged pleasantries in a spirit of unity and mutual respect.
The groom, Kennedy Jr Osilama Izuagbe, formally declared his intention to marry Miss Oshone Scholastica Okhakia, after which the bride confirmed her consent. The bride price and required traditional items were presented by the groom’s family and duly accepted by the bride’s family, signifying approval of the union.
The high point of the ceremony was the official presentation of the bride to the groom, symbolizing her release by her family and acceptance into the groom’s family. This moment was greeted with joy, applause, and thanksgiving.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the couple, words of advice from elders, group photographs, and a reception where guests were entertained with food, music, and dancing. The event was peaceful, colorful, and orderly, marking a successful and memorable engagement ceremony.
The engagement formally signifies the intention of Mr. Kennedy Jr Osilama Izuagbe and Miss Oshone Scholastica Okhakia to proceed to holy matrimony, with the blessings of both families.

The 12th National Economic Outlook, organised by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria Centre for Financial Studies (CIBN-CFS) in collaboration with B. Adedipe Associates Limited (BAA Consult), was held on 15 January 2026 at the Bankers’ House, Victoria Island, Lagos. The forum examined Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape, with a strong focus on the transition from far-reaching and often painful reforms to a new phase centred on consolidation, credibility, and sustainable growth.
Presentations at the event, particularly by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), underscored the importance of carefully managing this transition to ensure macroeconomic stability. The CBN noted that effective policy coordination and consistent implementation could help restore investor confidence and strengthen economic resilience, positioning Nigeria for sustained growth as Africa’s largest economy.

It was an exciting, thrilling and fun-filled day on the 14th December, 2025 when Zenith Bank brought together Children across Nigeria and beyond with their parents to celebrate Christmas with them.

An event titled *"Dare to Dream"* was held in Victoria Island, Lagos, Ajose Adeogun Street to be precised. The ideal was to encourage Children to see themselves as leaders of tomorrow and the potentials in the country.

In the speech delivered by the Executive Director, Mrs..... on behalf of the Group Chief Executive Officer, Dame, Dr. Adora.Emoji, the Bank promised their support to the growth and good dream of every Nigeria child.
" In Zenith Bank we believe every young person carries a dream with the power to shape a brighter future for our nation. This year's theme encourages you to stretch your mind and aim higher. Dare to Dream because every great achievement begins in a vision. Dare to dream because the world needs individuals who are confident, courageous, audacious and ready to stand out. To all our young girls, as you take part in the activities of today and reflect on the journey of this year, remember that you have everything it takes to succeed. Never under estimate your ability, stay determined and keep taking steps that leads you to your desire. You have everything it takes to succeed. Zenith Bank remains committed to support you "
The children also didn't hold back their feelings about the speech and responded immediately by thanking the bank for putting smiles on their faces all year round and assured the bank of stepping into the potentials in this country. " Every child present here today say a very big thank you to the Group Managing Director of the Bank, Dame Dr. Adora Emoji, OON and all the Executive Directors for putting smiles on our faces all year round. We know dream is a start but every Zenith Bank child present here today is ready to step into our potentials"

The event was not just about speech making and dance, talents were also rewarded. Cheques of N50,000 (fifty thousand naira only) each were presented to 15 children that participated in the dancing competition while kitchen items also went along.

There was a special take-home from the event, which was the professionalism displayed by the staff and management of the Bank from the Executive Directors to the Cleaners especially the Bank Security personnels who their approach to issues were very matured and professional. Nobody was embarrassed, even when it became necessary to deny an assumed guest access to the restricted areas, their manner of presentation was very cute.

Many Nigerians are already looking towards 2026.
