CEM Media and Communication companies celebrate a rare community leader, aggregator and a builder who has shown in all strata that the only measurement suitable for wealth is to the extent it has been utilized to develop the people and the community.
While there are many angles to the description of the man MSHC (Dr) Kennedy Izuagbe, it is chosen to describe him as the force that galvanize forces for achievement. From Iviukhua, to Weppa and Wanno, to Etsakor East, to Edo North and indeed the entire Edo State, the name Kennedy Izuagbe represents development, progress, achievements, connections and uncommon rallying force that have been tested and certified.
While Iviukhua has been known for great and notable personalities like the Ogbaki (first Okumagbe of Weppa Wanno) Ambassador Emozozo and the likes, Iviukhua has become louder within and outside the Nigeria boundaries through the strategic leadership prowess of MSHC (Dr) Kennedy Izuagbe. The conceptualization, actualization and sustenance of the Aukhua Cultural Carnival by the Iviukhua community development group under the headship of Kennedy has engraved his name in the hall of posterity in Iviukhua.
Void of empty rhetorics, Kennedy is a ‘FIXER’; not political godfather, but a godfather to the so many individuals (young and old) that have received succor through his benevolence in times of trouble.
It must be said that Kennedy rose to prominence through hard work having gone through life with a determination to succeed. This probably explain is unquenchable interest to support a good course that impact human lives positively.
The former banker and now a business man, holds a bachelor degree (Second Class Upper Division) in Management from the University of Port Harcourt and MBA from the University of Benin. He also has Masters in Finance from the University of Calabar, LLB Law from the National Open University of Nigeria and a PhD (honoris causa) in Business Administration and Management from the Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
He worked with Fidelity Union Merchant Bank Limited, Fidelity Bank Plc, Savannah Bank Nigeria Plc and Societe Generale Bank Nig Ltd where he rose to the position of Divisional Head, Internal Controls.
The accomplished business man is a major player in the facility management services industry, Real Estate sector, hospitality, petroleum product services industry, cash crop farming and publishing/printing industry. (see full profile here)
His traditional title, ‘Most Senior High Chief’ was truly deserved and earned having contributed immensely to the development of Weppa, Wanno and Uzanu communities. His foundation, Kennedy Izuagbe Foundation has aided a lot of less privileged ones in Iviukhua community to actualize their educational dreams through scholarship.
