CEM REPORT, FINANCE | The United States Dollar ($) have gained 0.01 per cent against the Naira (₦).
The dollar is presently trading at ₦764/$ as against the ₦763/$ it traded yesterday.
This is indicative of a marginal change in the exchange value of the currency in the parallel market.
Although, the strength of the dollar is marginal the naira in recent weeks has not gained strength against the greenback.
Black market traders are willing to buy the dollar at ₦762/$ as of today, compared to ₦761/$ yesterday.
The Central Bank of Nigeria in its exchange window has kept the dollar at an average of ₦460/$.
Other Market
In other markets, the naira has remained strong against the British pound and European euro in the parallel market.
Naira has maintained the same trading value from yesterday at ₦960/£ and ₦830/€ respectively.
However, at the CBN window, the British pounds gain 0.01 per cent trading at ₦573/£ from ₦574/£ yesterday.
The euro on the other hand has remained stable at ₦498/€.
