According to the press statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications and Brand Management of CIBN, Folake Akintayo, this critical conversation is coming on the platform of the 2024 Stream One Graduate Induction and Prize Awards Ceremony of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. The Institute will be awarding certificates to student members who have successfully completed the Banking Professional Examinations of the Institute in 2023.
The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. During the programme, 336 newly qualified Associates (Chartered Bankers) and 149 Microfinance Certified Bankers would be formally admitted into the Associateship (ACIB) and Microfinance Certified Bankers (MCIB) categories of the Institute.
Abubakar Suleiman to Lead Bankers in Discussions
A lecture titled “Ethics and Professionalism: A Prerequisite for Building Sustainable Careers and Institutions.” will be delivered by the guest speaker, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, FCIB, Managing Director/Chief Executive, Sterling Bank Plc. The lecture is expected to provide insights for professionals about the importance of ethics and professionalism in fostering both individual careers and institutional sustainability.

The Special Guests of Honour at the event will be Mr. Abayomi Oluyomi, FCIB, Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Lagos State. Ken Opara, Ph.D., FCIB, President/Chairman of Council of CIBN, will be the Chairman of the Occasion, while Akin Morakinyo, HCIB, Registrar/CEO, CIBN, is the host.
The ceremony will attract eminent members of the banking community, including captains of industries, corporate organisations, academia, Fellows, Honorary Senior Members, Associates as well as guests and friends of the inductees.
