CEM REPORT, TRANSPORTATION | Simba Group, a leading player in the Nigerian automotive sector, has teamed up with TVS Motor, a global giant in two and three-wheeler manufacturing, to launch the TVS King Deluxe CNG, the first CNG Keke in Nigeria.
The eco-friendly vehicle is a testament to the commitment of both companies to promote sustainable urban mobility, enabling consumers to save on petrol costs and contribute to a cleaner environment by reducing emissions and embracing green technology.
The launch event, which took place in Abuja, was attended by key stakeholders from the transportation sector and government officials. The event was a follow-up to the main product launch that was held in November 2023 in Benin City, Edo State, where the TVS King Deluxe CNG made its debut in Nigeria.
The Abuja launch signifies a major step forward, as it recognises the growing CNG infrastructure in the city and showcases the dedication of Simba TVS to cater to the needs and preferences of riders, fleet owners, and distributors.
The launch event also featured test rides and gave the attendees an exclusive opportunity to interact with the TVS King Deluxe CNG and experience its features and benefits first-hand.
Additionally, the event highlighted the Bereke Savings offering, a unique scheme that allows riders to save money on fuel and maintenance costs, demonstrating the innovation and customer-centricity of Simba TVS.
CNG Keke and Petrol Powered
The TVS King Deluxe CNG is a game-changer in the field of eco-friendly mobility, as it offers outstanding fuel efficiency while cutting down on pollution. The vehicle has a certified 30-litre CNG tank and a bi-fuel option, which means it can run on both CNG and petrol, giving the riders the flexibility and convenience to choose the fuel type according to their needs.
The vehicle also has a refreshed design, with a bold bezel, a crystal-like tail lamp, and an enhanced steering column. The vehicle also boasts brighter headlamps and double fuel valve protection, ensuring safety and visibility on the road.

The TVS King Deluxe CNG is powered by a robust 200 cc 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SI engine, which delivers impressive performance, generating a maximum power output of 6.3 kW @ 5500 rpm in the CNG variant. The vehicle also has a spacious cabin, a comfortable seat, and a digital speedometer, making it an ideal choice for urban transportation.
