0 12

CEM REPORT, TECHNOLOGY | Mika has been appointed CEO of Columbian company, Dictador, a bold move that has the potential to change the business landscape permanently.

Mika, a humanoid AI robot, is the first AI robot to be appointed to lead a global company. Mika was developed by Hanson Robotics and customized by Dictador to represent the company and its values

Mika will lead Dictador’s Arthouse Spirits DAO project and communications. She will also be the official face of the company. She can make data-driven decisions quickly and accurately and is trained to be unbiased and strategic.

Mika’s appointment further increases the worry that AI will eventually replace humans in several sectors. However, the argument still holds on interaction and emotional appeal. In a situation where an entire organisation is run by AI robots, humans will still be needed to test products and create a new products, after all, products are created for humans.

While AI robots such as Mika will make informed decisions guided by data, eliminating emotions and sentiments, data-driven decision negates risk-taking based on instincts or insider information which has driven many CEO to the top.

With AI gradually creeping in, the future of university undergraduate lay in the balance.
