CEM REPORT, AVIATION | Three major airports in the country will get taxi lighting systems and photometric patterns as the Federal Executive Council (FEC) had approved the procurement and installation.
This is as the council approved the Aviation Leading company.
According to Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, the sum of ₦3.04 billion was approved by the council for the procurement and installation of the equipment.
This minister disclosed this while speaking to newsmen after the FEC meeting in Abuja on Monday.
Sirika stated that KSR3 Global Nigeria Limited was awarded the contract with seven and a half per cent VAT to be completed within a 12 months period.
He added that the company was awarded the contract to procure and install taxi lighting systems, and photometric patterns at Port Harcourt, Lagos, Abuja, and some other equipment all over the country.
Furthermore, he said the council also approved the Aviation Leading company as part of the aviation roadmap.
“So today in council, something very significant has happened in the world of civil aviation. Part of our roadmap, the Aviation Leading company has been established and approved by the council.
“So the roadmap is gradually coming to 100 per cent completion. So I’m glad to see the full business case has been approved by the SEC.
He added that entrepreneurs and civil aviation will now have access to lease equipment at affordable rates within the country and that this is part of a roadmap.
