FIRS Coordinator of the zone, Mr Mohammed Mayanda, revealed this while presenting the award to Gov. Mai Mala Buni on Friday in Damaturu.
Mayanda said Yobe’s performance in collation and remittance of revenue is worthy of emulation for other states.
Gov. Buni, pledge that Yobe will continue in the path, adding that federal agencies in the state should maintain the synergy between them and the state government.
States in the zone are Yobe, Borno and Bauchi.
This award may not be unconnected with the revenue drive by FIRS in recent past to boost the overall revenue of the federal government. The Service  is targeting N10.1 trillion revenue in the 2022 financial year.
From the sum, the Federal Government is expected to get N2.053 trillion, while the balance will go to states and local councils.
